About the Authors

Haunted Hocking Investigation Team founders, Jannette and Patrick Quackenbush, have spent 25 years researching the historical and natural environment of Ohio. While doing so, they became fascinated with local Appalachian legends, ghost stories and folklore and its association with the natural world. Patrick has been a State of Ohio naturalist for 18 years. Jannette has written two other novels – Soaring on Moth Wings and Ghosts of Thunder Island (Aka: Ashlyn Crowe) and produces the Heart of Hocking and Heart of Ohio travel guides.

In Haunted Hocking: A Ghost Hunter’s Guide, Jannette and Patrick present a collection of over 55 local legends, scary tales and spine-chilling ghost stories they have collected and explored over the years.
